Railroad aficionados, take note!  The Greeley Freight Station Museum features a 5,550 square foot HO gauge model railroad layout, more than 20 scale miles of mainline track, hundreds of buildings and thousands of hand-made trees and scenery.  The museum also features more than 1,100 railroad artifacts from across the United States  All Aboard!

These lovely gardens were developed to commemorate the Union Colony pioneers who visualized how mountain irrigation water would green the “Great American Dessert.”  Take a stroll along the paved trail through the grounds to learn about the plants and trees representing four of the five life zones that exist in Colorado.  The beautiful gardens, famous for their many varieties of day lilies, are used for weddings, receptions and garden fairs.  Open April through October, Monday-Friday 9am to 4pm and Saturday 9am to noon.

Cemetery History Tour

The Linn Grove Cemetery site was established in 1874 and sits on 65 acres.  Visitors of all ages are encouraged to enjoy the beautiful grounds and reflect on the lives and history of the site.  Guided historical and memorial art tours can be arranged for groups of 10 or more.

Weld County Veterans

35th Avenue & 16th Street

The poignant memorial that commemorates Weld County citizens who served in the U.S. Military is in Bittersweet Park. The centerpiece is a life-size statue of Ault native Private Joe Martiinez who was killed in action in World War II. Ceremonies honoring Weld COunty veterans are held on Armed Forces day, Memorial Day and Veterans Day.

Island Grove Park

Trees planted as far back as 1869, spacious lawns and a range of facilities that Border the Poudre River have earned Island Grove Regional Park a reputation as one of the most picturesque and versatile events complexes in the nation. Island Grove is a multi-use events complex owned by the City of Greeley and Weld County. Located on 145 acres, there is plenty of space for all ages to play!
