TALENT SHOW

TALENT! "Hmmm - I wonder what kind of talent they want?" "What's that you said?" "TALENT!  I don't have any talent."

"Well, let's see, do you: sing; crochet/knit/tat; dance; paint or draw; play an instrument; do ceramics; tell jokes and/or tell stories; create handmade items; yodel; design and make jewelry; do leather crafts; write poetry; do woodworking or metal work; sew either by machine or by hand; design clothing or accessories; perform skits; are a photographer; do taxidermy; are an animal trainer of lions, tigers - OK, cats, dogs, birds; raise lovely plants or exotics;  cook wonderful food; do magic, or compose music? --  Just to name a few TALENTS!!"

Webster's Dictionary defines Talent as:  mental ability; skill; cleverness; a special gift. Collectively; persons with such gifts. We know dancers "got Talent!"  Please share yours with us!  We are planning a non-professional talent show and would enjoy viewing your special gift or gifts.

The August 14 Talent Show of individual performances will take place in beautiful Monfort Theater in Union Colony Civic Center, where you will indeed feel like a star!

All craft exhibitors will have their own display area in UCCC and can be viewed after the stage performances.  Watch for signs directing you to their venue. 

There is no cost to enter the Talent Show, however you must be registered for 10^thUSAWest Square Dance Convention.  Non-dancing support personnel may assist you at a nominal fee.

Please fill in the box at the bottom of the Convention registration form, contact us by email, or look for a Talent Show flyer/registration form, fill it out, send it to Kris and Jeff, Special Event Directors, who are looking forward to hearing from you very soon!

This is not a contest, no prizes will be awarded.   Each participant will receive a token gift of appreciation.
